Color postcard of the First Baptist Church in Janesville. The first building built by this congregation in 1851 was at 102 South Cherry Street (still extant in 2005). A new church was built in 1867 at 67 South Jackson Street. This church burned in 1884, but a new one was erected shortly thereafter at the same site. This is a picture of the 67 South Jackson Street church, which was used until in 1974, when the congregation built another church at 3414 Woodhall Drive.
