NG328, Bracket with a Standing Buddha

  • ca. 0100-ca. 0299
  • The front of the bracket depicts a Buddha standing on a plain pedestal. The halo around his head has a simple incised line near the outer rim. He may have held his right hand, now lost, in abhaya mudrā. The support at the back has a tenon below and groove carved vertically across it. Similar to NG327 which was found in the same location.
  • Location found: Level 3, Stūpa 18 E
