Ruins of Marahubi Palace

  • The Marahubi Palace housed the harem of Seyyid Bargash (Sultan 1870-88). It was built in 1880-82, but it burned down accidentally in 1899. The remains of the palace are a series of pillars which once supported balconies, walls now covered with creepers, and a domed Persian bathhouse
