She came out in March 1896 and ran as partner with the Tell City in the Louisville-Evansville trade. By 1913, she was in physically bad condition but was docked in 1914 and given almost a new hull. In 1917 she was chartered by the Valley Navigation Company for the Memphis-Caruthersville trade. She sank and was lost on December 26, 1917
