Visual display of the Dish

  • 1800-1835
  • The front of this dish is coated with an orange engobe and decorated with black and white slip decoration. Although eroded, the design in the center is similar to that on cavetto sherds recovered at the site of Solomon Loy’s pottery site. This dish may be by Loy or one of his predecessors in the St. Asaph’s tradition.
