OTHER INFORMATION: Ways - T1236; On February 13, 1937 she went ashore opposite Gallipolis, Ohio in a corn field during high water. The towboats Iroquois and Fairplay failed to free her, the river fell away and she was left stranded. Owner Rawn had a series of earth ponds built and in that way got her back to the Ohio River. When her boilers exploded in 1939, the forward end was demolished and three people were killed: 2nd engineer Mayes, fireman Jesse Plants, and mechanic Fred Gebhardt.
