  • Attributed to the Bethabara pottery during Rudolph Christ’s tenure as master. The interiors of both bowls are coated with white slip. The The example on the left (from a private collection) is decorated with dark brown slip and is dated between 1770-1790, and the bowl on the right is decorated with reddish-brown and green slip and is dated between 1786-1789 and comes from the Old Salem Museums & Gardens. The latter example was excavated from Bethabara (B55).
