DOUG NELSON, Captain-Forward
Doug earned the position of All-State Forward by his consistent work in the

State Tournament. His work thruout the year was worthy of much praise and
his
leadership was well thought of by his teammates.
BILLY BRIGGs--Guard
Bill was the old standby to start plays and to loop a basket when we needed

one very badly. Briggs was the hero of several games with his good eye for
free
throws. Although ill and unable to play in the District Meet, Bill recovered
enough
to thrill the crowds at the State Tourney with one minute of play in the
Water-
town game.
OLIVER DoNKLE-Center
Although playing his first year on the team, Donkle came thru with fine play-

mg. His ability to outjump men a great deal taller than himself won him a
posi-
tion on the second all-tournament team at Monroe.
GEORGE KELLY-Guard
George played half a semester and just enough to help pull us thru some
hard games and to do his part to start us off on a successful season.
PHILIP BEHREND--Forward
Probably the highest scorer on the team, Phil always got the points with
the
assistance of his teammates who "fed" him the ball. His guarding
was also good.
In several games he held his man scoreless.
JOE KELLY-Guard
Joe was called upon to take his brother's place and it was a good job that

he did. His motto, although never expressed, was "Try and get past."
Few men
passed. Joe has three more years to play and we will expect big things.
"DON" O'KEEFE
A new man in Wisconsin High, O'Keefe showed himself worthy of a position

on this team. His shiftiness and speed made him a dependable man for almost
any
position.
