This residence at 1119 Lincoln Boulevard in Manitowoc, Wisconsin was donated to the local American Legion Guy Drews Post 88 in March, 1944 by Mrs. Arthur Barrie for use as “clubrooms and lounge” in memory of her son, First Lieut. Daniel B. Bleser, who had died in a bomber crash over Ireland the previous month. The Legion used it for a short time, but legal complications developed and the home was deeded back. They then met in the Lincoln Park fieldhouse for several years and eventually established a clubhouse on Jay Street in Manitowoc. The Manitowoc post is now named Drews-Bleser Post 88. This view to the east shows the southwest façade of the home.
