  • 1775-1785
  • Attributed to the Salem pottery during Gottfried Aust’s tenure as master. Buff colored clay. The front of the dish is coated with white engobe and decorated with green, reddish-orange, and black slip. The back is incised “OM” on the bottom. Many Salem dishes have similar pre-firing marks, which were probably prices or indicators of piecework.
