Summary

• Mr. and Mrs. John Theiler, with their sons Walter and Arthur, standing on the porch of the first Theiler family home in New Glarus. This building stood on Railroad Street, between Fourth Avenue and Fifth Avenue. In 1897 it became the printing office of the first newspaper in New Glarus when John Theiler started a weekly German-language paper called the New Glarus Bote (Messenger).
