THE BALLAD OF THE FETED FROSH

Lemn-Marugg

To Wisconsin came one day
A handsome Frosh and gay;
Chase me, girls, I'm sweet as candy, and I've come up here to stay.
For I love to dance and play,
And the frat men all will say,
'Come, Spencer, won't you join us?" And I don't know but I may.
So he went to all the dances
And returned the coed's glances-
He was from Milwaukee, and was used to taking chances.
But he wasn't taking chances,
For no coed's glance entrances,
But stunts like that the size of any Frosh's head enhances.
If a Freshman comes up here
Fond of dancing, poker, beer,
Rushing time is apt to spoil him, swell his head, jam his career.
But if he is sincere,
Not conceited, vain or queer,
It won't spoil him, it will help him. He'll develop, never fear.
Now the moral I give thee
Is that every Frosh should be
Seen-not heard, obedient, and the soul of modesty.
So just take this tip from me
And work hard for your degree,
And you'll go to Freshman heaven, where no college profs will be.
