- Collection of literature and essays on feminist issues, written by Black women from North America, Africa, the Caribbean, and the rest of the African Diaspora. The materials document efforts made by Black women to create their own identities and movements, and through their writing, present a woman’s perspective on the diversity and development of black people generally, and in particular the works document the evolution of black feminism. Many of the writings are characterized as rare or hard to find texts, obscure typewritten documents, photocopied journals, and other fugitive sources.
