- Description
- The Roper Center for Public Opinion Research at Cornell University is an archive of over 22,000 datasets from polls conducted by survey research organizations, both in the U.S. and internationally. Major survey research organizations represented in Roper Center collections include the Gallup Organization, Louis Harris and Associates, the National Opinion Research Center at the University of Chicago, Princeton University’s Office of Public Opinion Research, media organizations, and others. Most of the datasets are national adult samples, but some cover special groups, such as youth, college faculty, Latinos, or business executives. RoperExpress provides direct download for about 75% of the Center's public opinion studies conducted in the US and many recent studies from outside the US. RoperiPOLL contains over 650,000 searchable public opinion survey questions. The Latin American Databank (LAD) includes data from public opinion surveys conducted by the survey research community in Latin America and the Caribbean, including universities, institutes, individual scholars, private polling and public opinion research firms. Presidential Approval is a data visualization tool utilizing U.S. national probability-based polls housed in the Roper Center.
