SPIN: Sponsored Programs Information Network includes three areas of interest to faculty, scholars, researchers, and advanced-level students. SPIN Funding Opportunities database includes more than 1,200 private, government, and international agencies which all together offer more than 10,000 fellowships and grants available to institutions of higher education and academic clientele. Most opportunities are education-related, and include funding programs for research, travel, curriculum development, collaborative projects, sabbatical and publication support, and more. Fellowships are also included. Daily updates and deadline notices are included. Additional features include the GENIUS Global Profiles for recording and retrieving curriculum vitae of and for researchers and investigators, and the SMARTS Matching & Alert System which provides a targeted email funding alert service. This database is of limited use for undergraduates. (Updated daily)
