- The Ibero-American Electronic Text Series is a project developed at the University of Wisconsin-Madison devoted to Iberian and Latin American works in the humanities. The texts comply with the Guidelines for Electronic Text Encoding and Interchange (TEI) and with the Guidelines for Markup of Electronic Texts. Each text is accompanied by its corresponding source text, a full header of the electronic edition, and an encoding description in order to facilitate the identification of provenance as well as any editorial emendations to the printed source. The initial texts of this series include Menéndez Pidal's edition of Elena y María, Cejador y Frauca's editon of El Criticón, Sor Juana's Loa para el auto sacramental de El Divino Narciso, Esteban Echeverrías' El matadero, Ermilo Abreu Gómez's essay Semblanza de Sor Juana, and the Folché-Delbose edition of Vida de Santa María Egipciaqua.
