A village girl Henna, is in love with a Hindu, Chander, mysteriously washed up on the banks of a river in neighboring Pakistan. Despite his wounds, Henna and her father nurse him back to life, and they decide to marry although Chander suffers from amnesia. The chief of police is suspicious of him, and on the eve of his wedding to Henna, he accuses Chander of being a Muslim spy.
