Arranged in five groups: I. Vocal scores (13). II. Librettos (1). III. Scripts (1). IV. Promptbooks (8). V. Dialogue parts (34).

A collection of music and text materials for Benedict's opera "The Lily of Killarney," based on Boucicault's "The Colleen Bawn." There are six different versions of promptbooks including imprints by The Sun Printing Establishment (Baltimore, 1874; rev. and adapt. by Clara Louise Kellogg); Charles F. Tretbar (New York, n. d.); O. Ditson (Boston, n.d. ; ed. by Geo. W. Tryon, Jr.); Ledger Job Printing Co. (Philadelphia, 1870); Boosey (London, n. d.); and typescript versions produced by the Tams Music Library. It is the Boosey edition which corresponds to the vocal scores. Copy 5 of the vocal scores is indicated as the "Carleton Version." The libretto is titled "Colleen Bawn; or, The Lily of Killarney." The script, in manuscript, is for Boucicault's play "Colleen Bawn."
