Oral history, 2001-2002, documenting the life and experiences of Adeline Isabel (Semanko) Geist (1909-2005) conducted by Suzan Semanko, Isabel's daughter-in-law, with a brief commentary by Isabel's son Larry. The oral history includes a discussion of Semanko's experiences teaching in three different one-room school houses for seven years, her childhood experiences, and her experiences raising a family. Semanko briefly discusses teaching at the Excelsior School in the township of Delmar, Wisconsin, for four years beginning in 1928, as well as her experiences teaching at two other unidentified schools until her marriage in 1935. Regarding her childhood, Semanko discusses both grade school and high school, family holidays, and engaging in recreational activities such as "drop-the-handkerchief" and "hide-and-go-seek." Also included is information related to Semanko's immediate and extended family. The DVD runs for approximately 2 hours.
