Thwaites Family photograph collection, including materials relating both to Frederick Turville Thwaites (1883-1961) and to Reuben Gold Thwaites (1853-1913). Materials date circa 1871 to 1955 and include travel albums, lantern slides for lectures and of trips, an herbarium scrapbook, cartes-de-visite portraits of family members, portraits of Historical Society staff, and views of various Thwaites homes and the Turvil farm. Also includes a bound volume of clippings with obituaries for RGT from various newspapers and periodicals in Box 1 (transferred from the WHS Library in 2013).
