The papers include Elijah Clarke correspondence (1782-1794) concerning land, legislative, and militia business; George Stiggins' reminiscences of the Creek Indians; Fannie S. Stiggins' commemorative poetry; and papers (1786-1790) concerning the South Carolina Yazoo Land Company.
Forms part of the Lyman Copeland Draper Manuscripts. The Draper Manuscripts consist of fifty collections, sometimes referred to as fifty "series," under the one overarching title.
