- Madeleine Doran, an international authority on Elizabethan drama and the Renaissance, taught at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 1935 to 1975. Her papers include various subject files, however the bulk of the collection consists of correspondence, writings, and Shakespeare Associations. There are particularly good files on her Essays on Shakespeare's Dramatic Language, letters and notes from Endeavors of Art, and her poetry collection Time's Foot. There is a sizeable amount of material from her involvement in the Shakespeare Association of America.
