In Afghanistan, half of all deaths among women aged 15 to 49 are because of pregnancy and childbirth, according to Unicef, and most are preventable. But two imams, Mansour Mahsoom and Najiba Qureishi, are on a quest to educate men and women on the use of contraception as a means to halt the deaths of women at childbirth and lower the birthrate.
