This volume gathers the two parts or "épocas" of the historical newspaper, Tiempo de México, into one commemorative volume in celebration of the bicentennial of Mexican Independence and the centennial of the Mexican Revolution. Each "época" consists of 25 issues published between 1982-1984 with the "primera época" covering Mexican historical events from October 1807-June 1911 and the "segunda época" covering Mexican historical events from June 1911-November 1964. Each issue was originally distributed as a weekly supplement to modern day newspapers in Mexico with content that depicted key political, economic, cultural, and social news events in the history of Mexico between 1807 and 1964 with each issue covering anywhere from a one-year to a four-year historical span. In this way, the national history of Mexico was broken down into a paraphrased journalistic version of events with modern day editorials providing context to the historical events being described and distributed in small weekly installments to modern day Mexican newspaper readers.
