Files pertain to the establishment of the Black Point Estate, in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, as an historic site. Black Point was built by the Seipp family in 1888 as a summer home and owned by family members for four generations. In 1994, William O. Petersen and his wife, Jane, initiated a plan to donate the estate to the State of Wisconsin in order to ensure its preservation in perpetuity. After a decade of legal work, the property was deeded to the state and in 2007 it was opened to visitors under the management of the Black Point Historic Preserve.
