Summary

  • Booklets prepared by fourth grade students at Levi Leonard Elementary School in Evansville (Wis.) under the direction of their teacher, Gail Guenther. The booklets contain short essays written at the invitation of the Wisconsin Historical Society as part of the Kids Archive project, which is intended to capture information about children's lives in their own words. The students describe their families, friends, pets, favorite activities, family vacations, homes, neighborhoods, movies, music, their clothes, plans and wishes for the future, their favorite foods, and other subjects. The booklets are decorated with the children's artwork and, in many instances, their school photos.
