Research papers compiled by Winn, author of "History of Ironton," a self-published history of Ironton, Wisconsin, (Sauk County) and consisting of a draft copy of the manuscript, research notes related to the original town charter, several biographical sketches of pioneering citizens, news clippings, and research documenting the Cazenovia Southern Railroad. Also included are a large number of photographs and transparencies documenting Ironton's architecture, historic events, geographic sites of interest, community organizations, prominent residents, and the daily lives of its citizens. The majority of the images in this collection are identified with detailed information including names, geographic locations, and dates while many of those used in Winn's book are identified only by the page numbers on which they appeared.
