Records of the Wisconsin Sesquicentennial Commission, documenting its activities, including special events and grant projects developed for the sesquicentennial celebration. Records include minutes of commission meetings, memoranda, correspondence, brochures, posters, non-funded grant applications, essays submitted by high school students for a scholarship contest, applications for the "Searching for Wisconsin's Past-150 Intriguing Investigations" contest, and applications to use the Sesquicentennial seal.
The photographs primarily document Governor Tommy Thompson and commission co-chairs Patrick J. Lucey and Lee Sherman Dreyfus at events honoring corporate sponsors. Some sound recordings are from grant panel meetings; other recordings and most of the videos were submitted with grant applications. The general administrative files include subject files maintained by various members of the staff.
