- STASH was a group formed in 1968 by two Beloit College students, and operated as an information center, library and publisher of books and journals to provide unbiased information on drugs and drug use. STASH moved to Madison in 1974 and in December 1980, disbanded due to rising publication costs. At least two publications continued to be published after disbanding: "Grassroots : a comprehensive alcohol and drug information service" (1972-1986); and "Journal of psychedelic drugs" (1967-1980) which changed it's title to "Journal of psychoactive drugs" and was still in publication at the end of 2021.
