In December 1965, the Fair Employment Practices Division (WIHV86-A2046) of the Wisconsin Industrial Commission (WIHV85-A2180) was assigned responsibility for administering the state's Fair Housing Law as well as the Fair Employment Practices Law and its name was changed to the Equal Opportunities Division. With reorganization of state government in Wisconsin in 1967, the Equal Opportunities Division became the Equal Rights Division (WIHV85-A837) of the new Department of Industry, Labor, and Human Relations (WIHV85-A482).
