Reports, mainly 1860-1902, filed by banking institutions operating under the state banking law, showing assets, liabilities, and amount of business done by each. After 1898 the reports of non-corporate banks also show the names of partners or proprietors and the amounts invested by each. For the years 1856-1859 and 1883-1898 the semi-annual reports were published by the Comptroller and the Treasurer in their annual reports and in the "Semi-annual Statement of the Condition of State and Private Banks of Wisconsin"; for other years only one report was published each year. Only the unpublished reports have been retained in this series.
