Papers of David Merrick (1911-2000), a theatrical producer, consisting of extensive business records, scripts, and correspondence for twelve plays presented by Merrick either alone or in association with others. Among these are "Destry Rides Again" (1959), "The Entertainer" (1958), "Fanny" (1954), "Look Back in Anger" (1957), "The Matchmaker" (1955), and "Romanoff and Juliet" (1957). Seven boxes of the collection are comprised entirely of scripts for plays, motion pictures, musicals, and adaptations of novels and stories which were submitted for production by various authors.
