Files of the Judicial Council (1952-1958) concerning the reorganization of Wisconsin's court system; including earlier records of the Wisconsin Bar Association's Committee on Uniformity of Courts (1942-1951) and the Legislative Committee on the Investigation and Organization of Courts (1911-1913). The files include proposals for court changes, correspondence, the Council's study of the state's court system, drafts for bills, manuscripts for speeches and articles, records of hearings, and proposals and comments from the Wisconsin judiciary and legislators, lawyers, and state and municipal officials.
