Summary

  • Set during the time of the Arabian Nights a woman, Dananeer, living the simple Bedouin desert life, is taken to the city to sing. She has a divine voice but is unaccustomed to the decadence and intrigues of the palace. The songs performed in this film are regarded by critics as one of the highlights in Umm Kulthūm's singing career.
