Filmmaker Pearl Gluck left her Hasidic Jewish community in Brooklyn as a teenager for secular life in Manhattan. Many years later, to mend the breach with her father, she travels to Hungary to retrieve a divan, a family heirloom. En route Pearl encounters a colorful cast of characters who provide guidance and inspiration turning her journey into a parable that offers the possibility of personal reinvention.
