Abstract: In their February 2009 interview with Marsha Cannon, Bruce Marion and Fritz Mueller discuss some of the history of Mueller's regional and national involvement in agricultural economic research and policy development from the 1960s to the 2000s. They concentrate on Mueller's time in Washington, DC, with the Kennedy and Johnson administrations, the creation and research of the Food Systems Research Group, and the governance of the department through their tenures. This interview was conducted for inclusion into the UW-Madison Oral History Program.
