A compilation of scenes used to illustrate the evolution of motion picture color technology. Clips are from the films Chang: A Drama of The Wilderness (1927), King of Jazz (1930) and The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938). The scene from Chang focuses on a forest village being stampeded by elephants with emphasis on reactions from villagers and monkey inhabitants of the village. The scene from King of Jazz is mainly a scene in which three men, "The Rhythm Boys", sing "So the Bluebirds and the Blackbirds Got Together". The scene from The Adventures of Robin Hood shows a crowd amassing around and being spoken to by Robin Hood, and is followed by a scene of Robin Hood inducting Friar Tuck into his band.
